"If you can't do it in realtime, it's not worth doing"

60Hz started in April 2002 as the formalisation of an informal research group interested in realtime rendering. We feel that we offer a friendly and productive environment and hope to continue growing. We are also happy to invite undergraduates interested in real-time graphics to join. If you are interested in joining our group please e-mail us at 60hz@csse.uwa.edu.au.

The primary reason for the group was to coordinate our graphics development in order to create a central repository of libraries and tools. We could then use the repository to reduce development time (and effort) and research more interesting problems. We also figured that we should make the libraries and tools we develop available to others to encourage research and development. Hopefully, the code-base we have started will grow into something of great benefit to future researchers. We have been developing a set of graphics libraries called the "Clean Rendering Libraries". These libraries are primarily for use in-house and ease the common difficulties in graphics development and make our lives easier.
